4 Reasons I am a Premier Research CRA

We spoke with Clinical Research Associates (CRA) to hear what they especially enjoy about working at Premier Research. Here’s what we discovered.

  1. I am a true partner to my sites.
As a Premier Research CRA, you are a true partner with your sites. Because Premier often works with smaller, newer biotech companies, bureaucracy is minimal. Also, the work is often in partnership with community practices in specialty focus areas; that means frequent one-on-one interactions with the site teams, which can foster deep personal relationships.

Premier CRAs work closely with the site teams throughout the day. If sites are new or just out of study start up, we ensure they are open, and actively recruiting, screening, and enrolling. We offer guidance on how to approach each patient. We provide an additional set of eyes and ears for quality, safety and compliance. In short: We are a critical member of the study team supporting sites and sponsors.

  2. I have great working conditions—because people care.
At Premier Research, CRAs have a lot of autonomy. People Managers offer support as needed—but trust employees to get things done. That includes the flexibility to run errands midday, as long as work is taken care of. Premier recognizes and rewards strong performance; the company protects personal time and work-life balance—and managers make sure team members get the experience needed to fulfill career goals.

  3. Expectations for travel are reasonable—and come with perks.
While Premier embraces risk-based monitoring, which requires fewer onsite visits by supplementing monitoring oversight with central and remote monitoring, some travel is still, of course, necessary. And the travel is largely regional. CRAs are targeted to have a manageable 6-8 days a month onsite (depending on their global region); we don’t dismiss the critical role of site management. Premier team members get to keep their travel points so we have them to use for personal trips and vacations too.

  4. I am part of a unified team that shares the load.
At Premier, people truly work together. It’s embedded in Our Culture and Values. We never say, “that’s not my job.” We are collaborative, seeking ways to help and offering support without being asked. We take ownership of our work. Above all, we make time to build relationships and celebrate successes.
