As Senior Vice President and Global Head of General Medicine, Dr. Kanova-Petrova oversees strategic planning and project execution for all general medicine clinical operations at Premier Research.

With over 25 years of experience in clinical research and drug development, Dr. Milena Kanova-Petrova stands as a distinguished leader in the global pharmaceutical landscape. Recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotechnology and named one of the 10 Most Influential Women Leaders by Industry Era Leaders, Dr. Kanova-Petrova blends extensive medical knowledge with a strategic approach to product development and research.

Prior to joining Premier Research, Dr. Kanova-Petrova served as Vice President of Global Development Operations at Centessa Pharmaceuticals, overseeing operational strategy and delivery in oncology, hematology, and sleep disorders. She has also held leadership roles at Palladio Biosciences, Nuvelution Pharma, and IQVIA.

With a formal education in General Medicine from Medical University Sofia and Management Studies from B&W College, key accomplishments include leading teams across diverse therapeutic areas, co-leading a successful FDA inspection in Central and Eastern Europe, and being recognized for achievements in quality assurance and risk management.
