Richard Shimota

Richard Shimota is Chief Financial Officer at Premier Research and brings to the Company more than 30 years of experience leading global financial operations within the CRO industry as well as other services industries.

Prior to joining Premier Research, Mr. Shimota served as CFO at Allucent and THREAD Research, where he oversaw all aspects of Finance and Business Technology including Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax, and M&A related activities.

Prior to that, Mr. Shimota was Executive Vice President and CFO of the Syneos Health, Clinical and Chief Financial Officer at inVentiv Health, Clinical.  Mr. Shimota also held financial positions of increasing responsibility at Shaw Group, Inc., Washington Group, International, and Raytheon Company.

Mr. Shimota is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and holds an MBA as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin System.
