Mariesa Coppola

Mariesa Coppola serves as Chief Legal Officer at Premier Research, where she oversees Corporate Legal and Compliance. In this role, Ms. Coppola is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of our legal, compliance, and contracting professionals and serves as a strategic advisor to our executive and senior leadership teams. 

With more than 20 years of legal experience and a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, Ms. Coppola has expertise in global compliance and risk management, litigation and dispute resolution, insurance portfolio strategies, and claims management. 

Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Curia Global, Inc., a contract research, development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). During her 14-year tenure with Curia, Ms. Coppola developed the legal and compliance department into a global team, built its Corporate Compliance Function and Environmental, Social, and Governance Program, and managed a global team of technical proposal writers driving strategic business operations. 

Prior to Curia, she served as an associate attorney with Jones Ferradino Attorneys at Law and a senior financial planner with Goldman Sachs Ayco.  

Ms. Coppola received her Bachelor of Science from LeMoyne College and Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School and is a member of the New York State Bar.
