John Cargill

As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Premier Research, John Cargill is responsible for overseeing Commercial strategy to drive business growth and enhance the customer experience.

A seasoned healthcare leader, Mr. Cargill brings invaluable expertise in drug development and healthcare to the Premier Research team. His nearly two-decade career spans roles in Clinical Research Organizations (CRO), eClinical solutions, and telemedicine. He is passionate about delivering patient-centric solutions that bring life-changing interventions to market.

Most recently, Mr. Cargill served as CCO at Cecelia Health, a virtual specialty clinic working with pharmaceutical companies, health plans, and hospital systems. Mr. Cargill has previously held leadership roles at Caidya (formerly dMed/Clinipace), Fortrea (formerly Covance [Chiltern/Theorem]), ICON (formerly PRA), Syneos Health (formerly i3), and ThermoFisher Scientific (formerly PPD), where he consistently demonstrated an ability to drive new business awards and optimize commercial processes.

His experience also includes leading strategic deals, M&A transactions, diligence efforts, and fundraising initiatives with biotech, venture capital, and private equity firms. Mr. Cargill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of North Carolina – Wilmington.
