Challenge #3: Select effective sites, train and motivate investigators

Our growing network of rare disease investigators

We engage key opinion leaders and use their networks to interest potential study sites. Since many of our customers have worked extensively on individual rare diseases, they often have close and valuable relationships with key investigators. We build on those relationships to expand our network of highly qualified specialists in individual rare diseases.

We also give investigators and staff members our personal attention to make sure they genuinely believe study participation is a valuable use of their and their patients’ time and effort. But the challenge is enormous, so we build in a buffer and anticipate under-recruitment at more than the usual number of sites.
