STARR Coalition Names Premier Research 2016 CRO of the Year

DURHAM, N.C., October 28, 2016 — STARR Coalition, an organization dedicated to treatment, advocacy, research, and recovery in mental health, named Premier Research CRO of the Year at its annual STARR Meeting in Boca Raton, Florida. The group cited Premier Research for its longstanding partnership in supporting the coalition’s mission to serve the mental health community and patients afflicted with mental illness.

“Premier Research has been a reliable partner in developing cognitive therapy resources, mobilizing volunteers, and using communication, partnerships, and goodwill to advance the cause of patient advocacy,” said Luke Kramer, STARR Coalition Executive Director.

“It is a great honor to recognize Premier Research for their dedication and commitment to the STARR Coalition. They are leading collaborative efforts with CNS partners and advocacy to positively impact the lives of families and persons living with a mental illness.” Carol Witham, Founder and Chair, STARR Coalition.

STARR Coalition presented the award October 26 during a working meeting at CNS Summit 2016, a gathering of researchers, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups.

“We are greatly honored to receive this recognition from our friends and partners at the STARR Coalition,” said Dr. Krista Armstrong, Premier Research’s Vice President of Strategic Development. “Collaboration between industry and patient advocacy groups is vital to improving the way we conduct clinical research for CNS disorders, and we are proud to play a role in the coalition’s continued success.”
