Our expertise in behavioral neuroscience clinical trials can be directly traced to our team of research experts and their experience.
Director, Product Development Consulting and Regulatory Medical Writing Support
Thomas Laage, M.D., MPH, has worked in protocol development, regulatory strategy, medical monitoring, clinical study report finalization, and business development in adult and pediatric central nervous system disciplines since joining Premier Research in 2012.
A private-practice psychiatrist for 18 years, Dr. Laage began his medical career as psychiatrist in charge in the inpatient depression unit at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. Immediately prior to joining Premier Research, he worked as an independent contractor for the consulting firm John Lehmann, LLC, providing medical writing and safety reporting for clinical trials, and was an independent medical writer and editor.

Dr. Strzyminska has nearly 20 years of global clinical research and drug safety experience, having participated in the design and medical supervision of more than 40 clinical studies. Her background includes Phase IIA and IIB studies in Alzheimer’s disease, early-phase PK studies, metabolic and internal diseases, cardiology, oncology, and infectious diseases.
While working at Servier in Paris, Dr. Strzyminska served as central medical reviewer, and at Janssen Cillag and another CRO, she led global projects involving up to 5,000 patients in 26 countries on six continents. She is also experienced in FDA inspections and in managing Urgent Safety Measures situations.
Dr. Strzyminska earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University in Warsaw with a specialty in psychiatry. She still regularly admits patients as a practicing psychiatrist.

NEUROSCIENCE STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT
Vice President, Strategic Development
Krista Armstrong, PhD, has steadily taken on new responsibilities at Premier Research, and now oversees the overall execution of Premier’s Strategic Development Strategies. She ensures that Premier Research offer sponsors the best possible operational, regulatory, medical and scientific advice. But that’s only part of the story.
“For example, we work in the area of rare diseases. With this area of focus, the patient population typically has no treatment options and very poor quality of life or even terminal situations. We have the opportunity to work on clinical trials, including ones in the infant and pediatric population, where the results dramatically improve the lives of those affected by the rare disease. I’m a mom, not just a scientist, and it means a lot to me that we are a part of clinical research that could save lives. The importance of this type of drug development is beyond words to describe.”
Dr. Armstrong’s clinical research experience spans more than 20 years in both academia and the pharmaceutical industry. At Premier Research, she led the integration of six acquisitions and grew the clinical operations department from 60 to more than 500 employees globally.
Dr. Armstrong received her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Florida.
