Medical Device and Dermatology Experts Presenting at MAGI East Conference

DURHAM, N.C., May 3, 2019 — Two of our top experts, Joanne Emmett, Vice President of Clinical Development Services for Medical Device and Diagnostics, and Jasmina Jankicevic, MD, MSc, CCRP, Dermatologist, Executive Director, Medical Affairs, will participate in three sessions at the MAGI 2019 East Clinical Research Conference in Boston.

Emmett, head of medical devices, will join four other industry experts to present Medical Device Clinical Research Part 1, a three-hour master class covering protocol design, clinical operations strategies, and FDA expanded access provisions. Emmett will describe a “full-team” approach to medical device trials, covering such elements as defining the team, operational start-up, patient involvement, and working with investigative sites. The session takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, May 5, the conference’s opening day.

Jasmina Jankicevic, head of medical strategy for dermatology and medical aesthetics, will discuss clinical trial site selection in a panel discussion on Monday, May 6, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Jankicevic will join three other panelists in a session titled Behind the Scenes: How Site Selection Really Works.

On Tuesday, May 7, from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., Emmett will also join seven other clinical research professionals for Stump the Experts, a panel discussion where clinical trial experts will answer conference attendees’ most perplexing questions.
